Strasbourg is situated at the heart of Europe. It is the capital of European democracy, and is endowed with an indisputable expertise in terms of urban mobility via its tramway and the application of Urban Movements Plans and the promotion of mobility. The city of Strasbourg shares similarities with the city of Kairouan and numerous assets to support Kairouan and Mahdia along this project. Strasbourg has been engaged for over 30 years in a policy of active and sustainable mobility (biking and walking). It has become a pioneering city in France and Europe in this field as well as in sustainable urban development, combining gentle movement, balance in sharing public space, and the development of green spaces; a recipe for a pleasant, sustainable, and peaceful city.

Finally, Strasbourg is also active and inspiring from the perspective of enhancing and promoting its historical heritage, being a UNESCO world heritage site, and presenting its artisanal know how from a cultural perspective.
